Istanbul : Turkish security authorities arrested Thursday a member of the outlawed Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) in Istanbul, the chief of staff command said.
It said on its website that the security forces have been launching a campaign in several areas in Istanbul which resulted in the apprehension of a PKK rebel in the European part of Turkey’s largest city.
This is part of the Turkish security authorities’ pursuit against the PKK rebels inside Turkey.
The security authorities found at the house of the arrestee, whose name was not disclosed, explosive materials, weapons and leaflets.
