New Delhi : It was a picture perfect start to the weekend here Saturday as the sun stayed behind a cloud cover and the weather was pleasant.
People in Delhi enjoyed the day to the full, parks and favourite picnics spots were packed to capacity as the day’s high hovered at around 32 degrees Celsius. But more worrying for the residents is the steadily increasing minimum temperature reminding that summer is just around the corner.
The minimum temperature Saturday was around 18 degrees, which is five degrees above normal for this time of the year.
The Met Office said the maximum temperature in most parts of the northern plains was 4-6 degrees above normal and the trend would continue over the weekend.
The weather office has forecast rain over parts of southern India and Rajasthan. The rest of the country is likely to stay dry.
