Tehran : Indonesian President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono ended his two-day visit here on Wednesday and left for Dakar, Senegal, to attend the 11th Summit of the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC).
Yudhoyono and his entourage left Tehran`s Mehrabad airport on Wednesday at 10 am local time on board a presidential aircraft, an Airbus 330-341.
The President and his entourage were expected to travel 10.5 hours to reach the African continent and to arrive at Dakar`s Leopold Sedar Senghot Airport at 4.55 pm local time.
He would be welcomed by Senegal`s President Abdoulaye Wade and Indonesian Ambassador to Senegal Sukarni Sikar.
After an official welcoming ceremony, Yudhoyono, accompanied by a Senegalese minister, would proceed to Wisma Duta, the Indonesian embassy`s guest-house.
First Lady Mrs Ani Yudhoyono would go to the same place in a different car.
The main purpose of Yudhoyono`s visit in Senegal was to attend the 11th OIC (Organization of the Islamic Conference) Summit.
The chairman of the 10th OIC Summit, Malaysian Prime Minister Abdullah Ahmad Badawi, and the chairman of the 11th OIC Summit, Senegalese President Abdoulaye Wade, are scheduled to deliver speeches at the summit`s opening ceremony.
Besides attending all functions at the summit, Yudhoyono would also have bilateral meetings on Thursday with the leaders of some OIC member-countries, including Palestine, Bangladesh and Sudan.
Among the ministers accompanying the president were Foreign Minister Hassan Wirajuda, Minister for Religious Affairs Maftuh Basyuni, and State Secretary Hatta Rajasa.
The president and his entourage would leave Senegal on Saturday to continue their overseas tour by visiting South Africa.
