Tehran : Iran expects the international community to support Iranian nuclear rights, Majlis Vice-Speaker said on Tuesday.
Mohammad Hassan Abutorabi-Fard called on all independent states to support all nations rights to pursue nuclear technology for peaceful purposes.
In a meeting with Chinese Ambassador to Tehran, Xie Xiaoyan, Abutorabi-Fard outlined the latest developments in Iran’s peaceful nuclear program.
He added that all world nations, including Iran, have right to produce nuclear energy for civilian utility within the framework of the Non-Proliferation Treaty.
Referring to Iran-China ancient relations, the MP called for further expansion of bilateral cooperation in the areas of politics, economy and culture.
The Islamic Republic of Iran attaches great importance to expansion of ties with the great Chinese nation, he said adding that the two countries may enjoy a very positive and constructive relations in the Middle East and the Asian continent.
As to Iran’s great potentials in the field of investment, the Iranian parliamentarian called for participation of Chinese companies in joint investment in Iran.
He added that the participation of Chinese investors in different economic projects in Iran would benefit both states in view of economic development.
The Chinese envoy, for his part, praised Iran’s key role in the region and the entire world.
He also called for further expansion of Tehran-Beijing relations in all areas.
The Chinese leaders are very much interested in promotion of ties with the Islamic Republic, he added.
He urged all countries to respect Iran’s peaceful nuclear rights.
