Muslim politics in Bihar heats up

By TwoCircles.net correspondent,

Patna: With the election of Dr. Ejaz Ali to Rajya Sabha and sacking of Monazir Hasan and Manzar Alam from Bihar cabinet, Muslim politics in the state is heating up.

A new organization Muslim United Front is gearing up to launch itself as a political party. Party president Abu Qaiser taken a dig at all political parties and Muslim leaders who “have divided the community on caste basis and spread hatred within the community,” Abu Qaiser said in a statement in the state capital.

Criticizing Dr. Ejaz Ali, Abu Qaiser said that Dr. Ali has reached the parliament by erecting wall of caste among the Muslims. Instead of championing the causes of the community like implementation of Sachar report and promotion of educational awareness, he has chosen to rest in his palatial building, alleged Abu Qaiser.

Dropped minister Monazir Hasan has recently organized demonstrations against the “anti-Muslim policies” of the Bihar govt. He has yet to say whether these policies started when he was part of the government.

Abu Qaiser, who has made a name for himself working on behalf of Bhagalpur riots victims appealed Muslims to come on one strong platform to work for the solutions of the community. He is opposed to the distinction of castes among Muslims and therefore chose “Muslim United Front” as the name of his organization.

While talking to TwoCircles.net, he said that now the time has come for Muslims of Bihar should have their own party in the state which can challenge any ruling government with its own will power and can pressure the government to accept their demands.
