Istanbul : The Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Conference (OIC) Prof. Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu and the Turkish Minister of State Prof. Mehmet Aydın, inaugurated jointly inaugurated an International Congress on the “Second Constitutional Period of the Ottoman State on its Centenary” here yesterday. In his opening speech, Prof. Ihsanoglu underscored the importance of the Second Constitutional Period in the world history and welcomed the contributions of the intellectuals and researchers to the Congress which will shed light on this important period of history, according to an OIC statement.
The International Congress will continue with the deliberations of scholars and researchers from different regions of the world, on the topic in the four-day event, which will conclude on Saturday. The OIC Research Center for Islamic History, Art and Culture (IRCICA) is the organizer of the event.
