Washington : More than 80 percent of US people, the largest number in the last 15 years, consider their country is going in a wrong direction, a poll of The Washington Post paper and ABC TV revealed Tuesday.
According to the survey, almost the 70 percent of US people is opposed to the administration of President George W. Bush heading the Union.
For the 36 percent of those interviewed, the economy is the main point of concern, while a 21 percent mentioned the war in Iraq.
The majority of those interviewed think that Democrats are better prepared than Republicans to deal with US problems.
Despite the critics to Bush and to governmental party, John McCain continues very close in the intention of votes with respect to his Democratic rivals Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama.
According to the investigation, Obama is over McCain 51-44 percent, and in case of being former first lady, Democrats supporter would be 49-46 percent.
Those results indicate that Arizona Senator has handled the bad image successfully.
