Abbas meets Bush at Sharm El-Sheikh

By KUNA,

Gaza : The President of the Palestinian Authority Mahmoud Abbas meets here Saturday American President George W. Bush in Sharm El-Sheikh for the second time in less than a month.

According to local radio stations, Palestinian negotiator Dr.Saeb Ereikat stated that President Abbas and Bush will be discussing Israeli-Palestinian negotiation issues including continued settlement activity in Jerusalem and the West Bank.

Israel recently built 480 housing units in Har Gilo settlement near Jerusalem, and Palestinians view this action as part of a plan to separate this city from its Palestinian surroundings in the West Bank.

Ereikat added that Abbas will ask Bush again to indicate the boarders of the Palestinian State, which he supports, and added the borders recognized must be those of June 4, 1967.

Bush Friday afternoon ended a three-day visit to Israel, during which he participated in the celebrations of the 60th anniversary of establishment of Israel. Bush declared his support of Israel and its security.

The anniversary is marked by the Arabs and Palestinians as the Nakbah (catastrophe).
