Beijing, China : China’s official news agency says the confirmed death toll from the massive earthquake in Sichuan province has risen to more than 32,000.
Xinhua News Agency said Sunday the death toll has climbed to 32,477 and the number of injured to 220,109. The government says it expects the final death toll from last Monday’s earthquake will pass 50,000.
