Two arrested with stolen idols

Barabanki (Uttar Pradesh) : Two people have been arrested in Uttar Pradesh with two stolen antique idols said to cost Rs.200 million in the international market, the police said Monday.

Vijay Kumar Lodhi and Chandan Lodhi were arrested Monday from Barabanki’s bus station with the idols, each weighing about 10 kg, said Barabanki Additional Superintendent of Police Gyaneshwar Tiwari.

Last month, five idols were stolen from a temple in Sitapur district.
