Kabul : One soldier of the International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) was killed and two others wounded in a roadside bomb explosion in southern Afghanistan, the military said on Wednesday.
An Afghan interpreter with the multinational force was also killed in the blast that took place in Ghazni province, located around 90 miles south of Kabul, central capital of Afghanistan. The military statement said the wounded soldiers were transported to an ISAF hospital for treatment.
“I would like to offer our heartfelt condolences to the families and friends of those killed and injured by the blast,” said ISAF spokesperson Brig. General Carlos Branco. Names and nationality of the soldiers killed and injured in the blast were not released for policy reasons.
