Cairo : Palestine President Mahmoud Abbas said in an interview published on Monday that there is a lack of progress in the peace process in the Middle East, where everything is reduced to an exchange of opinions.
In a statement to the Arab daily Al Watan, Abbas pointed out the inexistence of any type of agreement.
The chief of the Palestine National Authority had previously made similar statements regarding the meetings with Israel, following an international conference in the US city of Annapolis.
That meeting was held in November and since then it was presumed that the peace process would move towards a solution to the Israel-Palestine conflict, but Tel Aviv has avoided discussing key topics with the PNA.
The Israeli Army continues arresting and attacking Palestinians in the West Bank and Gaza Strip, as well enlarging its settlements in those occupied territories.
