New Delhi: Islam gave highest place to women, a place which was unparalleled in history, said Justice Rajinder Sachar while speaking in a programme on ‘Women’s Status in Society’ in the national capital on 20th May.
Justice Sachar said other religions did not accord such a high place to them whereas Islam called a woman as a counterpart of and equivalent to a man.
In his presidential address, Allama Aqeelul Gharvi said Allah has accorded great status to women, as Allah states that the paradise lies under the feet of one’s mother. He highlighted different important roles played by women in different capacities in a man’s life.
On this occasion, Iranian scholar Mohammad Rajab Raza Nizhad pointed out that Allah has conferred a special status on women by imbuing some of His Virtues in them, for instance, he made them a creator. Mr. Rajab said nature has assigned different duties to men and women in accordance with their build up. Her services are no less than that of a man.
The programme was organized under auspices of Hasan Aara Trust in Gul Mohr Auditorium of India Habitat Center.
