Islamabad : Visiting Indian Minister for External Affairs Pranab Mukherjee Wednesday called on Pakistani President Pervez Musharraf and both the two sides pledged to push the dialogue process forward for resolution of all outstanding disputes.
Assisted by Indian Foreign Secretary Shivshankar Menon and India’s High Commissioner to Pakistan, Mukherjee discussed with Musharraf about the progress made so far on the peace process, the News Network International news agency reported.
Mukherjee also met Pakistani Prime Minister Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani and expressed satisfaction over the pace of the composite dialogue process.
Mukherjee is in Islamabad to review the fourth round of Pakistan-India composite dialogue process.
The two sides will also set dates for the next round of dialogue. The process of dialogue started in January 2004.
