Cairo : The Arab League expressed hope Saturday that Afro-Arab cooperation would be boosted during a joint summit to overcome obstacles and achieve joint collaboration between the two side.
Arab League Secretariat noted in a press release, marking the Africa Day coinciding tomorrow, the importance of building the principles of a joint partnership and development, in addition to the geographical, political, and cultural bonds which ties the two sides together.
The league also pledged to work jointly with the African Union (AU) to end conflicts in the African continent, in such places like Somalia and the Comoros Islands, among others.
It also noted on AU’s resolve to continue the path of joint action toward bringing prosperity to the Arab and African people.
The Arab League also praised African efforts in creating real development partnership with various continents of the world, which were based on African vision and sustained development programs, the statement added.
