Foreign Ministry spokesman, Mohammad-Ali Hosseini said on Sunday that Iran’s cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency is clear and transparent.
Addressing the 17th session of Iran-Japan Joint political Committee, Hosseini underscored the need for continued Iran-IAEA cooperation.
The Islamic Republic of Iran insists on ensuring its full rights in the area of peaceful nuclear energy, he added.
Referring to the great potentials in both Iran and Japan, Hosseini called for further boost in bilateral cooperation.
As to Iran’s secure atmosphere for foreign investment, he said such a characteristic has absorbed foreign investors to make investment in various fields in the Islamic Republic.
The Iranian diplomat further called for exchange of visits between the two countries’ private sectors in order to help bolster bilateral relations.
During the meeting, the latest regional and international developments as well as Tehran-Tokyo cooperation in all areas were discussed.
Japanese Deputy Foreign Minister, Kenichiro Sasae, said that Tokyo attaches great importance to its ties with the Islamic Republic of Iran as a powerful country in the region.
Referring to Tehran-Tokyo relations as friendly and traditional, he voiced his country’s readiness to promote all-out ties with Tehran.
Sasae called for Iran’s constructive role in expansion of regional cooperation.
