Kolkata : The city of Kolkata is all set to become an integral part of German goalkeeper Oliver Kahn as he ends his illustrious career here Tuesday.

And very soon the global audience will get a taste of Kolkata’s passion for football as a German journalist is here to document the exhibition match between Bayern Munich and Mohun Bagan.

Daniel Kerst, a German TV journalist, has flown in from Munich, to cover Kahn’s last professional match with Bayern Munich.

This is Kerst’s second documentary on Kahn, the first being “The last one year of King Kahn”, which was of 90 minutes and was released last month.

“In my last documentary I filmed Kahn’s last one year and it carried visuals of Kahn’s last match in the Bundesliga against Hertha Berlin. In that documentary, I also shot Franz Beckenbauer, Lionel Messi and also Bayern coach Ottmar Hitzfeld,” said Kerst.

“Beckenbauer said that Kahn was the most serious player he had ever seen. And that he would tell Kahn to smile more when he plays,” he added.

“Messi said that Kahn was the best goalkeeper he had ever seen,” Kerst said.
