Damascus : Arab League Secretary General Amr Moussa arrived in the Syrian capital on Monday for forecast talks with top officials on regional affairs, it was officially reported.
Moussa, who arrived from Lebanon where he attended a ceremony of electing Michel Suleiman as president after months of vacancy in the top post as a result of political crises, was expected to hold talks with President Bashar Al-Assad.
Syria, currently the chairman of the Arab Summit, has blessed a new national conciliation accord in neighboring Lebanon — according to which Suleiman was elected president and the parties agreed on a new distribution of cabinet portfolios.
