New Delhi : Heavy showers and strong winds Monday delayed over 32 flights at the airport here, a senior airport official said.
According to the official, the flight movements were disrupted for over an hour Monday morning. “Air operations were closed for over an hour after 8.30 a.m,” said the official.
While 20 flights were delayed, 12 were diverted to Jaipur and Lucknow due to low visibility during the period.
During the last six days, Delhi has measured around 100 mm of rainfall, a new high for the month of May, said the official.
