Kuwait Finance House –Malaysia wins award

Kuala Lumpur : Kuwait Finance House –Malaysia (KFHM) won the ‘Best Islamic Financial Products and Services’ Award. The award was constituted by ‘Al-Halal’ newspaper, in conjunction with the Global Halal Forum. Corporations and companies from many countries around the globe competed for eight awards that are all related to Shariah compliant services and products. Board member of KFHM Mohammed Shareef received the award from Malaysian Prime Minister Abdullah Badawi at a party packed by competitors from UAE, Holland, Britain, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Canada, Malaysia and Australia.

KFHM’s Executive Manager Salman Younis stressed the ongoing efforts in offering world-class services and products. He added that this award is a source of pride and joy, since it asserts cements one of the most important pillars in business, which is to be Shariah compliant. Moreover, it comes right after KFHM won ‘Best Foreign Islamic Bank’ award in Malaysia. “All those who work in the Islamic financial services industry are proud because of these awards that are related to marketing, social responsibility, offering service, innovation, personal achievements, etc. Having such competitions and the participation of Shariah compliant products offered by non- Islamic corporations and countries, proves that this pattern of business has become global, and also became the focal point for major corporations and companies,” he said.

Younis added that KFHM is keen on playing paramount role in Malaysian economy through major development projects like Eskandar City, which cost exceeds $ 1.5 billion, and other projects; in addition to inclining to neighboring Asian countries in projects, contributions, and vital deals, keeping in mind playing the strategic role of tying Malaysia, Asian countries, Kuwait and the GCC together to develop the common economic business, and develop the commercial cooperation among these countries.

KFHM has recently opened its third branch in Kuala Lumpur in the prestigious Buket Pintaneng area. The opening was attended by the Kuwaiti ambassador in Malaysia and the diplomatic attaché, which comes as a step that stresses the commitment that the bank shows towards developing Islamic banking services in Malaysia and the region, where the new branch offers convenient Islamic financial services from Kuala Lumpur compound. In addition to that, the branch has a section for consuming banking services and banking services for individuals that offers creative services and products. Moreover, the first commercial banking transactions center will start operating in Shah Alam branch soon, where it will cater to various segments of clients who own small and medium projects.
