London : A 21-year-old man was charged Tuesday with the murder of a young British actor who had a role in the next Harry Potter film.
The unemployed man from South London was charged with having stabbed to death 18-year-old Rob Knox in a fight outside a bar in south London Saturday.
He was also charged with injuring five other young people.
The man had attacked Knox when he tried to protect his younger brother from him.
Knox, who had just finished filming a part in Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince to be released in November, was the 14th teenager to die in a series of violent attacks – mostly stabbings – in London this year.
Meanwhile, police arrested two 15-year-olds and a 20-year-old in connection with the murder of 17-year-old Amar Aslam in a park in Dewsbury in West Yorkshire in northern England at the weekend.
Aslam had been subjected to a vicious attack with clubs. According to media reports, his attackers had filmed the murder on a mobile phone.
