Chengdu, China : Cuban leader Fidel Castro sent a message to Hospital No. 1 of Chengdu, province of Sichuan, saying this country can count on the island”s medical brigade the necessary time.
The brigade”s chief Jose Rodriguez gave Li Yan the message during a meeting Tuesday with Li Yaun Feng, director of the hospital center.
The Revolution leader also stated the hospital”s authorities that Cuba has a well-prepared medical staff, eager to support the Chinese brother people of the Chengdu region if the government considers it advisable.
Dr. Rodriguez, leading the 35 medical and paramedical group who arrived in China May 23, expressed Dr. Li Yan gratitude for the assistance that province has received from the Cuban staff.
The hospital where the Cuban medical group is working is the largest one of Sichuan, with 90 million inhabitants and it is considered among the 30 best health centers of the country.
Rodriguez also expressed his willingness to be in the Asian nation aiding victims of the recent seism the necessary time and work in the place and conditions the Chinese people needs.
Li Yan Feng was grateful to the support given by Cuba and its leaders in this difficult situation, and said he will pass on top authorities Fidel Castro”s message.
