Lucknow : A minor Dalit girl was allegedly raped and killed in Banda district, 250 km from here, police informed Monday.
According to reports, the accused, Om Narayan, forcibly poured hair dye in her mouth after the assault and the 14-year-old girl died during treatment at a government hospital in Kanpur.
“The girl was returning from school Sunday afternoon when Narayan abducted her,” inspector Premchand of Jaspura police station informed IANS on phone.
A named FIR has been lodged against Narayan who is absconding after the crime, he added.
