“Terror not linked with religion”, says BJP spokesman Javedkar

Jaipur, India : BJP today said that terrorism should not be linked to any religion as it was the most condemned act against humanity every where in the world.

“Any one found guilty in a terror act should not be spared…And religion has nothing to do with it”, BJP spokesman Prakash Javdekar told a press conference here.

When asked to comment on Sadhvi Pragya’s alleged involvement in Malegaon bomb blasts, he said, “The Supreme Court has given life sentence to Afzal Guru, but his mercy petition is still pending…The role of every terrorist, regardless of religion, should be probed thoroughly, and then legal punishment be sought”.

“There should be enough evidences against the accused”, Javdekar said.

Blaming the UPA government for enacting POTA to tackle terror, he said the Centre (federal government) was lacking the political will power to deal in the matter.
