Abu Dhabi : The first day of Eid Al-Adha (Feast of the Sacrifice) falls on Dec 8, according to the Islamic Crescent Monitoring Project.
Eid Al-Adha is celebrated on the 10th day of the Hijri month of Zil Hijja’.
Astronomical calculations have predicted that Nov 29 will be the first day of ‘Zil Hijja’, on which sighting of the crescent will be endorsed in some Muslim countries.
The Islamic Crescent Monitoring Project was set up in 1998 and includes 400 scholars and moon sighting experts.
