London : Beatles legend Sir Paul McCartney is defending his former band mate Ringo Starr when he got angry with his fans recently.
McCartney claims Starr should be praised for his honesty, reports contactmusic.com. Starr had upset his fans when he told them to not ask for autographs anymore because he was too busy. He later retracted saying that he was more concerned with some fans selling the signed items online.
McCartney says Starr was just being honest. He added: “We love Ringo… In the world that we live in you’re not supposed to say that, so he’s always getting in trouble for speaking his mind… I think it’s a good quality. It’s called honesty, actually.”
