ADB to invest $90 mn in Himachal Pradesh’s tourism

Shimla : The Asian Development Bank (ADB) has proposed to invest over $90 million in tourism-related infrastructure in Himachal Pradesh, a government statement said here Sunday.

A five-member ADB team met Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal here Sunday and apprised him of the ADB’s investment plans.

“ADB has agreed in principle to invest $90 million in building tourism infrastructure, restoration and conservation of heritage properties and also in the community development projects,” said the statement.

During the past three months, the ADB team visited 60 sites in eight districts to have first-hand information about the potential of tourism in the state.
