Islamabad : Several people are feared to have been killed in fresh military strikes on suspected militants’ hideouts in northern Pakistani lush-green valley on Thursday.
Military gunship helicopters launched fresh air strikes in Matt area of Sawat valley and targeted several militants’ hideouts, security sources told KUNA.
They said, several people are feared to have been killed and wounded. Another source said that more than 10 militants have been killed and at least a dozen others were wounded.
In addition, a mortar shell hit a house that killed five members of a family and wounded two others.
Sources said the operation was continuing.
