Baghdad : Iraq’s Minister of Labor Mahmoud Al-Sheikh Radhi survived a bombing attack that targeted his motorcade in the heart of the Iraqi capital early on Thursday but the blast left 10 people dead and 20 others wounded.
The information advisor at the ministry of labor, Abdullah Al-Lami, told KUNA that the minister survived the attack, waged by a lone driver of a vehicle packed with explosives.
The minister started his daily regular work as usual after the blast, the advisor said in the statement to the Kuwaiti news agency.
He confirmed that the fiery blast that occured close the the Liberation Public Square left 10 people dead, 20 others wounded, in addition to extensive damage in cars and nearby buildings.
