Kuwait keen on boosting participation in economic assemblies – Ambassador

Tunis : Kuwaiti Ambassador to Tunisia Abdul Hamid Al-Failakawi stressed importance here Friday on his country’s keenness to participate in the economic and trade assemblies, particularly Arabic gatherings.

The Ambassador’s comment came on the sidelines of Tunis International Industries fair opening ceremony, sponsored by the Tunisian Minister of Trade and Traditional Industries Tunisian Reza Towaity.

Al-Failakawi told KUNA that such economic events reflected the country’s industrial development and progress and cultural heritage.

The Ambassador noted that similar events bring a great feedback from other people attending the fair, particularly the Kuwaiti pavilion in the Arabic section of the fair, which shows “remarkable” efforts by those who support it, by also providing a large number of Kuwaiti industrial products.

Al-Failakawi said that the Tunisian Minister expressed his admiration in Kuwaiti pavilion especially the quality of national products and competitive prices.

He reiterated concern to intensify participation in such exhibitions and demonstrations of economic progress.

Participants in Tunisia 2008 fair, which runs until November the 2nd showcase, among others, 19 Kuwaiti industrial companies in the areas of chemical products, food, metal and aluminum and textiles industries as well as glass, paper, perfumes and electrical industries and plastic.
