Tehran : Foreign Ministry spokesman condemned the assassination attempt on Pakistan Prime Minister life and expressed pleasure over the failure of the terrorist act.
According to the report of Foreign Ministry Media Department on Wednesday, Hassan Qashqavi underlined that Iran has always wanted a secure, stable and progressive Pakistan in its neighborhood.
Shots were fired at the motorcade of Pakistani Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani Wednesday afternoon around 15:30 local time when he was returning from Lahore to Islamabad. The Pakistani premier survived the incident.
