Palestinians call on Arab League to stop Israeli settlement activities

Cairo : Arab League Secretary-General Amr Mussa has received a memo signed by 16,000 Palestinians calling on the Arab League, the UN Secretary-General, and the Secretary-General of the Organisation of the Islamic Conference to stop the Israeli settlement activities.

A statement issued by the Arab League General Secretariat Monday said that the memo was forwarded by the Secretary-General of the Palestinain Struggle Front Sameer Abu Ghosha to Amr Mussa, where he asserted that the Israeli settlement activities were against international humanitarian laws and international legislation.

The memo also called for activating the Internaitonal Court of Justice rule concerning the separation wall and called on Palestinian factions to unite and face the Israeli violations.

The memo was signed by politicians, public organisations, academics, workers, students, women and youth.
