New Delhi: If it is sheer chance or something else, it is too early to say but it has surprised his wife and others that Dilip resembles Tauqeer, one of the Delhi blasts suspects whose sketch released on Tuesday, except Tauqeer’s beard.
Dilip is missing since Saturday, the day when five serial blasts rocked the national capital leaving 26 dead and more than hundred wounded.
According to a report in The Tribune the sketches of the alleged perpetrators of the crime resembled some of the victims like Dilip, a small-time trader in watches.
Dilip hails from Darbhanga in Bihar. He had gone to Ghaffar Market as usual to make purchases on the black Saturday. He never returned and his wife Hemlata who resides in Okhla area, with two of her little daughters, searched for him everywhere — hospitals, mortuaries and even police stations. But to no avail.
At last she left a photograph of Dilip with Ashok Randhawa, a social worker.
When TV channels ran the sketch of Tauqeer, one of the suspects in the bomb blasts, Randhawa was surprised to see how Tauqeer bore striking resemblance to Dilip.
“That was Dilip’s picture. He went missing from Gaffar Market since the blasts. His wife Hemlata yesterday left a copy of his photograph with me,” Randhawa was quoted saying.
“Except for the beard, he resembled exactly the sketch. I brought this to the notice of the RML Hospital police post. They directed us (Randhawa and Hemlata) to go to Karol Bagh police station,” he said.
Senior police officers at Karol Bagh police station questioned her about her husband for over three hours before registering a missing compliant.
Who will tell Hemlata whether Dilip is alive or dead? In either case, where is he now?
