Patna : A Bihar fast track court Thursday convicted five men for the murder of Papiya Ghosh, a professor in Patna University, and her domestic help in 2006.
The Patna civil court found the five accused, including a lawyer, guilty of Ghosh and her domestic help’s murder, said an official in the court.
The court will sentence them Friday.
Ghosh, 53, and her 70-year-old domestic help, Malti Devi, were found stabbed to death at her home in the city’s upmarket Patliputra Colony Dec 2, 2006.
According to police sources, while five men were arrested, two men are absconding.
The police have recovered the professor’s Maruti car, a computer, an air-conditioner, a colour TV and a few valuables stolen from her house.
