AIDMB caravan is a Slap on communalist forces: N. K. Sharma

New Delhi : In the conference held in India Islamic Cultural Center on completion of first phase of countrywide campaign of Ta’meer-e-Mulk wa Millat caravan, former legal advisor of the government of India, Pandit N. K. Sharma said, “This countrywide caravan is a slap on those who associate Islam, Muslims, Madrasas and Mosques with terrorism.”

On this occasion, the bureau chief of Rashtriya Sahara Asad Raza inaugurated helpline service of the Board.

“Indeed, Islam is a religion of mercy and Muslims are devotees of Allah’s exclusive oneness“, Pandit Sharma said adding “The torch lighted by All India Deeni Madaris Board (AIDMB) is a historical stride.”

Appealing to Muslims to unite, he said, “If you would unite, you can select 120 parliamentary representatives.”
Hinting at Bharatiya Janata Party, Mr. Sharma said, “When they come in power, they neither remember any Bhagwan nor Ram Mandir. Now every secular Indian has understood that politicking in name of any Mandir is unpardonable.”

ADG (U. P. police) Ajay Singh said, “I will not hesitate even if I have to sacrifice my life.” Referring to Muslims’ demand for reservations he said, “This is Muslims’ right and it is government’s responsibility to grant reservations to them.”

Ex-governor of Uttar Pradesh Ramesh Bhandari appealed Muslims saying, “Struggle jointly to retrieve your rights.”

JUH president Maulana Arshad Madani said, “On account of some of its fundamentals, All India Muslim Personal Law Board does not support the Board talked about by the government. If its defects are removed it would reflect on government’s affability.”

Prof. of Hadith and literature at Darul Uloom Nadwah Maulana Nazeer Ahmad said, “Our communal progress is not possible without acquiring education and the Board’s campaign can play an important role in this regard.”

In his presidential address, Maulana Ya’qoob Bulandshahri likened BJP with the ‘deep’ and Congress Party with the ‘sea’ but hinted at supporting Congress Party. He further said, “Our movement is for all Indians. Within next two years we will tour every part of the country in a bid to engender direct relations with every Indian citizen.”

He also announced to establish ‘Faqeehul Islam Islamic University’. Maulana Mohammad Anwar turbaned him and said, “From this day onward, you are responsible for the community.”

The first phase of the caravan campaign started on January 26 this year with emphasis on backwardness and educational problems confronting Muslims.

The conference deliberated on Milli issues like political awareness, share in governance, more and more improvements Hajj travel, preservation of Awqaf, unity within Millat, social reforms movement and popularization of education.

Reading the Board’s communiqué, Mufti Arshad Farooqui said, “The Board has got only one objective: every India should be equipped with knowledge and skill, every person’s grievances should be forwarded to union and state governments, and the country should be delivered from the grip of communalist forces.”

The Board’s declaration appeals to Muslims to rise above personal interests.

Towards the end of the conference, ‘Secular Media’ awards instituted by the Board were conferred on Yusuf Ansari (Zee News), Qasim Ansari (E TV), Rajesh Kumar and others. Students who have achieved outstanding performance were prized withy educational awards.
