Rahul Gandhi asks youth to vote for change

By IANS,

Ranchi : Congress general secretary Rahul Gandhi, in a rally in Jharkhand, Wednesday appealed to the youth to vote to “change the fate of the country”.

“I appeal youth to vote for Congress to change the fate of the state and the country. We have fielded a youth from Hazaribagh and you vote for him,” Rahul Gandhi said in Ramgarh.

The Congress has pitted legislator and youth leader Saurabh Narayan Singh against Bharatiya Janata Party candidate and former union minister Yashwant Sinha.

Rahul also came down heavily on previous National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government on the terrorism issue.

“During the NDA rule, a central minister went to Kandahar (in Afgahnistan) to free the terrorists. The UPA (United Progressive Alliance) government has taken suitable action against Pakistan in the fight against terrorism.”

Rahul Gandhi addressed two public rallies at Lohardaga and Ramgarh.
