Lucknow : Mulayam Singh Yadav, Lalu Prasad and Ram Vilas Paswan, heading Samajwadi Party, Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) and Lok Janshakti Party (LJP), Friday vowed to remain united even after the Lok Sabha elections.
“We will not remain separate any more, but will unite to work for the poor and counter the communal forces in the country,” Mulayam Singh Yadav told reporters at a joint press conference here.
The three leaders stressed that their unity will not remain confined to the period up to the Lok Sabha polls.
“Mulayam Singh has said it correctly that we will continue to work together after the Lok Sabha polls… even in the next assembly elections,” said Lalu Prasad.
RJD and LJP have been part of the Congress-led United Progressive Alliance (UPA) government but have formed a separate front in Bihar for the polls.
