New Delhi : An Air India aircraft had a bomb scare Wednesday after a man in Mumbai called the airline and said a bomb was placed on it, an official said, adding that the plane was being searched and all passengers were safe.
All passengers were moved out of the aircraft as soon as it landed at Jaipur airport and a bomb disposal squad took over the plane, an airline spokesman said.
“Our call centre had received a call from a person who had claimed that there was a bomb in the Mumbai-Jaipur-Delhi flight. All passengers were taken off from the aircraft, which has been parked at a bay at Jaipur airport. A bomb disposal squad is extensively searching the aircraft,” the spokesman told IANS.
He said the identity of the accused is yet to be known. “But the person has been arrested in Mumbai.
