New Delhi: A 25-year-old jobless doctor was found dead in Amar Colony area of southeast Delhi, police said Tuesday.
According to police, Mukesh Das’s body was found hanging from the ceiling at his residence in E-block of Vikram Vihar in Amar Colony area at around 11 p.m. Monday night.
He was working as neuro-surgeon with the Guru Tegh Bahadur Hospital and his work contract with it had ended only a few days ago. He was looking for a new job since then but could not find placement, police said.
Police suspected it could be a case of suicide but they were awaiting medical reports before reaching any conclusion as no suicide note was recovered from Das’s possession.
Das, a native of Jharkhand, was married one-and-a-half years ago. Police have informed his parents and were awaiting their arrival here to have their permission for his postmortem.
