Tokyo : More than 19 percent of Japan’s oil imports in June came from the United Arab Emirates (UAE), WAM news agency reported.
Tokyo imported 18.81 million barrels of oil, accounting for 19.4 percent of the country’s oil imports, from the UAE during this period, Japan’s natural and energy resources agency said Monday.
Saudi Arabia was the single largest exporter of oil to Japan during this period with 30.51 million barrels, which is 31.4 percent of the total oil imports of Japan in June this year.
More than 77 percent of oil imported by Japan in June came from the Arab countries, the agency said in a statement.
