Peshawar : At least three policemen were injured Thursday in a remote-controlled blast at a check post in this Pakistani frontier city.
The bomb was planted at the Palosai check post located near Regi graveyard. It exploded and injured the three policemen, Online news agency reported.
District Coordination Officer Peshawar Khanzada Anis said that no loss of life has been reported and added that the bomb was targeted at police.
Sources said that the bomb was remote controlled.
The three injured police men have been shifted to Khyber Teaching Hospital.
Peshawar has witnessed a series of terror attacks since early October that have claimed over 240 lives and injured many more.
The city witnessed this year’s worst terror attack Oct 28 when a massive explosion in a crowded market killed 117 people and injured over 200.
Pakistan has been struck by a series of terror attacks since Oct 5, when the latest wave of violence was unleashed by the Taliban which is battling the army in the rugged terrain of South Waziristan.
