New Delhi: Five men have been arrested here for allegedly beating two men to death when they objected to their drinking alcohol in public, police said Tuesday.
Gulfam, Mohammad Salim, Mohammad Irfan, Sadik and Mohammad Nasim were taken into custody Monday for killing Nazim and Furkan Dec 4 in Bhagirathi Vihar of northeast Delhi.
The accused, in their early 20s, were under the influence of alcohol when they committed the twin murder.
“Nazim and Furkan protested when the accused were drinking in public. Following this, the accused picked up bricks and beat them to death,” said a police officer.
