Bangalore: A Karnataka legislature committee Monday recommended appropriate action against Infosys chairman N.R. Narayana Murthy and promoters of the Bengaluru international airport – Larson & Toubro (L&T), Siemens and Zurich – for the shoddy work.
A report of the 21-member joint house committee, tabled in the state assembly, said the decisions at each stage (right from project approval to construction) were not in accordance with the expectation of a world class international airport.
“The present state of affairs is the result of such decisions,” the 50-page report said and named the officers involved in important decisions for initiating appropriate action.
Murthy was ex-officio chairman of the airport project consortium-Bangalore International Airport Ltd (BIAL) — from January 2001 to October 2005.
