Mercury in Himachal dips below zero

Shimla: Higher reaches in Himachal Pradesh recorded sub-zero temperature Sunday with Keylong in Lahaul and Spiti district being the coldest, the Met department here said.

Keylong recorded a minimum of minus 11 degrees, against Saturday’s minus 11.4 degrees, said the department in an official release.

Similarly, Kalpa in Kinnaur district recorded a night temperature of minus 4 degrees Celsius.

The popular hill station Shimla recorded a minimum of 2.7 degree Celsius, a decline by 1.5 degrees from Saturday.

Bhuntar near Kullu recorded a low of minus 0.2 degrees Celsius.

The Met office forecast mainly dry weather in lower and mid hills, while high hills could witness snow at isolated places Monday.
