Ahmadinejad: Inventors should suffer no obstacles in their projects

By IRNA,

Tehran : Iran’s President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said the organization in charge of affairs relating to the Iranian scientific elite should be active in removing any obstacles Iranian innovators may encounter.

He made the remarks after inspecting an exhibition featuring innovation and prosperity in the country Sunday morning.

He said establishing of a fund to support the innovative projects by the Iranian scientific elite was a must to lower the financial risks they might face in implementing their numerous innovative plans.

Ahmadinejad inaugurated the exhibition and a festival at its sideline this morning.

The opening of the two events coincides with the second day of the nationwide ceremonies to celebrate Ten Days of Dawn which marks the span of time between the arrival of the Late Founder of the Islamic Republic Imam Khomeini in Tehran from a long exile abroad and the victory of the Islamic Revolution ten days later in 1979.

The exhibition and the festival seek to highlight the achievements of the Iranian experts during the current Iranian calendar year (March 2008-2009) which has been designated by the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenie, as the year of innovation and prosperity.

Over 3,000 inventions and innovative projects are being displayed at the exhibition.

The events aim at spotting and encouraging innovators and honoring the best works introduced.

Ten top inventions will be awarded at the end of the festival.
