Kabul : At least four employees of an Indian company were injured Wednesday morning in a remote-controlled bomb blast in Ismael Khil district in the eastern Afghan province of Khost, said an official.
Dawurat Khan Qayumi, the district chief, said that the blast occurred at 8.30 a.m. (0400 GMT) when a vehicle carrying Afghan labourers working for an Indian road construction company was hit by the bomb planted by militants.
“So far, at least four local employees of the company were injured in the blast,” Qayumi said.
No group or individuals have as yet claimed responsibility for the attack. Taliban militants often carry out such attacks targeting those working for foreign companies or troops.
