Tegucigalpa : Honduran police seized a small plane with 1,400 kg of cocaine in the northwest department of Colon, local media reported.
Radio HRN quoted an unnamed officer of the drug enforcement bureau Sunday as identifying the plane as a twin-engine Cessna 441 registered in Venezuela.
Colon is one of the Honduran zones utilised for transporting illegal drugs by air, sea and land from South America to markets in the north, especially the US.
On Jan 8, another Venezuela-registered plane was seized on the nearby Caribbean island of Utila with 1,500 kg of cocaine.
