Mumbai : Bollywood actor Feroz Khan, who was admitted to the Breach Candy Hospital here in a critical condition, is recuperating from his illness, but might have to stay in hospital for a few more days, his manager said Saturday.
Khan was admitted to the hospital’s Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Tuesday, but hospital authorities have refused to comment on his health.
“Mr. Khan is on the better side of health now. Doctors were to tell us when he would be released yesterday (Friday), but they came in very late and the decision still needs to be taken. But he might have to stay in the hospital for a day or two more at least,” Feroz’s manager Rajkumar Tiwari told IANS.
According to media reports, Khan has been suffering from cancer for sometime and was admitted to the hospital after it aggravated. However, Tiwari refused to divulge details on the actor’s ailment.
“I don’t know if it was cancer or not. And I can’t even talk about the department or doctor under whose observation Mr. Khan was,” Tiwari had said Friday.
The actor-producer, who is the father of actor Fardeen Khan, has been working in Bollywood since 1960.
He starred in films like “Jaanbaaz”, “Qurbani” and “Dharmatma” in his over four-decade-old career. He recently featured in films like “Janasheen” and “Welcome”.
