Pakistan twin blasts toll rises to 10

Islamabad : The toll in two bomb blasts Sunday in Pakistan’s North West Frontier Province has risen to 10, GEO TV reported.

According to the report, the first blast that was of low intensity was carried out through explosives planted near a Polytechnic College in Dera Ismail Khan City.

However, the powerful second blast later on, detonated by a suicide bomber near a rescue van at the site of the incident, killed most of the people, the report said.

Twenty-five people, including security personnel, were also injured in the blasts.

The injured were rushed to hospitals, it said.

President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani have strongly condemned the blasts.
