Noida : A Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) bus rammed into a Blueline bus early Tuesday here, as dense fog continues wreaking havoc in the National Capital Region. No passenger was hurt.
According to the police, a Blueline bus coming from Sarita Vihar to Noida was hit by a DTC bus from behind near the Mahamaya Bridge in Sector-37.
The police said the DTC driver couldn’t see the Blueline bus as the area was engulfed by a thick fog. The accident caused traffic jam in the area as four other vehicles also piled up, ramming into one another.
Sunil Kumar, the driver of Blueline, was injured in the collision and was rushed to the Sector-24 situated ESI Hospital in Noida, the police said. Kumar sustained a fracture of a foot. All the passengers in the two buses escaped unhurt.
A driver of an Innova SUV, which was involved in the accident, sustained multiple injuries and was also rushed to ESI Hospital. He was stated to be out of danger.
“We have not impounded the vehicles as it was due to fog and the visibility was extremely low at that time. It was nobody’s fault,” said a police officer.
